Harm Free Care Training

Harm Free Care

Extra Hands provide comprehensive training for individuals and companies across Norfolk.

Our course includes falls prevention, nutrition and hydration and pressure ulcers. It is important that staff encourage mobility wherever possible, keeping a person more active reduces muscle wasting and helps prevent falls.

Attendees will learn how to recognise signs and symptoms of malnutrition and dehydration, skin breakdown / pressure areas and whom to report concerns.

Medication Training - Initial

Initial Medication Training is suitable if you have never done NMSS training before, or want a full days’ knowledge and content.

Medicines Management in Care Homes

The training course is designed to equip care staff with the knowledge and skills they need to ensure the safe handling and administration of medicines. Our medicines management expertise will ensure that you are fully up-to-date with current guidelines and best practice across all areas of medicines management.

Developing Safeguarding Practice (used to be called 'Refresher')

A half day session to enable participants to discuss and develop their safeguarding knowledge and skills in a supportive learning environment. Participants should have previously attended the Safeguarding Awareness course. Learning outcomes:
