7 minute safeguarding briefings – what topics would be helpful?

One of Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board’s key priorities is to support their network partners in their safeguarding work with clear information and guidance.

To help this Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) are developing a series of ‘7 minute briefings’ to go on their website. The first one has already been produced and is on Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SAR).

The 7 minute briefing is a technique borrowed from the FBI. Learning for 7 minutes is manageable in most services and makes information simple to remember. The short briefings hold people’s attention, as well as giving managers something to share with their staff. Clearly the briefings won’t have all the answers, but it is hoped that they will act as a catalyst to help teams and managers reflect on their practice and systems.
