Launch event: Co-production Resources for Social Care Providers

Person-centredness, strength-based approaches and co-productive collaboration all come from the same core belief: that everyone has expertise in their own life, the right to have a say in the decisions that affect their lives and to be treated as an equal

Indeed, co-production is mentioned several times in the Care Act statutory guidance, one example being: “Local authorities should, where possible, actively promote participation in providing interventions that are co-produced with individuals, families, friends, carers and the community”.

Over the last year N&SCS have been working with the Making It Real Board to co-produce a set of resources to enable and encourage social care providers to extend their person-centred practice into co-production. Those resources will be launched on 26th March at the Abbey Conference Centre, following the N&SCS care provider meeting being held in the morning.

The launch will include presentations from the Making It Real Board, Healthwatch and Carers Matter Norfolk.

All care providers are welcome to attend. Please contact Sarah Steele for further details. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
