New food and nutrition guide for Norfolk’s care workers and carers
A new guide has been produced to support carers and care workers in identifying and treating nutritional risk prior to the diagnosis of malnutrition and offers advice in managing the associated consequences.
The guide also contains advice for those with dementia and the impact this can have on good nutrition and hydration.
Incorporated within the guide is the Bapen Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST) and indicates best practice prior to seeking clinical intervention.
This document has been created with the support of multiple clinical specialists by North and South Norfolk CCG and may be used in its current form to support all carer workers and carers.
Any adjustments or extraction from the document must be approved by Sam Cole, Transformation Manager North and South Norfolk CCG.
