Two Norfolk care providers, Extra Care Home Services and NorseCare, are in the running for Skills for Care Accolades at an awards ceremony in London on March 1st.
Extra Care Home Services Limited based in North Walsham are finalists in the 'Best Employer of Under 50 staff' category, while NorseCare are up for the prize for'Best social care apprentice employer'.
All the finalists submitted detailed entries showing why they should win one of the 10 categories, which were then scrutinised by an expert panel of judges before shortlists were selected that reflect the rich diversity of services on offer across the country.
Skills for Care CEO Sharon Allen said: “Yet again we had high quality entries from many different sorts of organisations who are all working hard every day to develop the skills and knowledge of workers so they can deliver high quality services in our communities.
“It proved to a really tough task for the judging panels as all our finalists are not only demonstrating excellence in how they develop the workforce, but also innovative ways of thinking about how they do it that can only benefit the people they serve in our communities. All our finalists really are the best of the best”
The winners will announced at the Accolades awards ceremony on Thursday 1 March 2018 in London.
