Exciting news about Independent Travel Training

The TITAN (Travel Independence Training Across the Nation) programme run by Norfolk County Council has recently extended its offer to Adult Services, following 12 years of success in Children’s Services.

TITAN work to support individuals in Norfolk to be safer pedestrians, build independent skills, and to access public transport.

They are delighted to now be able to offer the TITAN programme to vulnerable adults that may require support with travel, in order to allow them to access more opportunities within the community.

How much does TITAN support cost?

TITAN is a Norfolk County Council run scheme and is FREE. The aim is to support people to be as independent as possible.

Who can be referred?

The TITAN team offer support to students Post 16, and vulnerable adults.

Who can make a referral?

Anyone can make a referral, please use the referral form to include as much information as possible about the individual and their needs.

What happens with a referral?

Once you complete the form you will receive an email to confirm it has been received. The team will process the referral and decide upon the most appropriate support. If a house visit is necessary, they will use contact details to arrange this. A house visit is an opportunity to discuss support options with individuals and their families/carers.

If 1:1 travel training is deemed suitable, it is more than likely this will take place during the summer months when the team are able to be more flexible.

The referral form can be found at http://www.norfolk.gov.uk/TITAN
