Harm Free Care

Our course includes falls prevention, nutrition and hydration and pressure ulcers. It is important that staff encourage mobility wherever possible, keeping a person more active reduces muscle wasting and helps prevent falls.

Attendees will learn how to recognise signs and symptoms of malnutrition and dehydration, skin breakdown/pressure areas, when and who to report concerns to.

The topics covered in this workbook include:

• Falls prevention.
• Pressure ulcers.
• Stages of pressure.
• Diabetic Foot Care.
• The Multi-Disciplinary Team.
• VTE and Deep Vein Thrombosis.
• Nutrition and Hydration.
• UTI.
• Malnutrition.
• Particular needs and allergies.

This is an interactive training session. Attendees are given training manuals to take away and a certificate of attendance issued.

This is a 3 hour course.
