Introduction to Mindfulness
Introduction to Mindfulness is a free workshop delivered by the Norfolk & Suffolk Wellbeing Service.
It is easy to stop noticing the world around us, to become caught up in our own minds and overwhelmed by our thoughts and feelings. When those thoughts and feelings are anxious or stressed, we can quickly develop a cycle of negative thinking that is hard to break.
The workshop will teach you techniques of mindfulness to help you to reconnect with your body, your mind and your environment. We teach you to focus on the present moment rather than being concerned with the past or worrying about the future. By doing so you can learn to notice signs of stress and anxiety and how to cope with them.
Everyday Wellbeing is for anyone who wants to manage their mental health in a more positive way. The workshop looks to explain the most common mental health difficulties in a simple but effective way.
Good and poor mental health is something that everyone experiences. If your mental health is good then this workshop can help you to learn techniques to maintain it. If not, then join to learn techniques to help you to manage your mental health better.
This course includes tried and tested cognitive and behavioural techniques allowing you to take control of your mental health now and in the future. Simple but effective strategies based on the Five Ways to Wellbeing are also introduced.
Everyday Wellbeing is a 1-2 Hour session by workshop.
