Before the COVID-19 pandemic, a series of free, one-day training sessions for residential care homes in Norfolk & Waveney around ‘recognising signs of deterioration’ were underway. The results of a study, based on analysis of survey responses from 5,126 out of 9,081 care homes for the over 65s in England, has been published. Care home staff were asked to report on the total number of confirmed cases among staff and residents since the start of the pandemic.
