The Care Act
The Care Act brought care and support legislation together into a single act with the principle of wellbeing at its heart. It introduced major reforms to the legal framework for adult care and support in England - to the duties of local authorities, to the rights of those in need of care and support and their carers and to the funding system for care and support.
The Dept of Health & Social Care publishes the updated versions of the statutory guidance for the Care Act. This is the primary source for all guidance for the Act
Skills for Care
Skills for Care produced a suite of learning materials to support the implementation of the Care Act 2014, which includes good summaries of the new requirements
Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE)
Resources, training and consultancy to help local authorities and care providers to analyse, develop, deliver and evaluate Care Act implementation programmes.
Think Local Act Personal (TLAP)
A national partnership of more than 50 organisations committed to transforming health and care through personalisation and community-based support.
TLAP provides guidance materials as part of a suite of resources commissioned by the Department of Health in partnership with the Local Government Association and Association of Directors of Adult Social Services to support those commissioning and providing care and support in implementing the Care Act 2014.

An online guide to help councils review current information and advice provision with a step by step guide for developing a strategy which is Care Act compliant.
